There are so many reasons to give flowers to someone who is under the weather, especially if they're in the hospital. A 2008 study put out by the American Society of Horticultural Science found that patients in the hospital use less pain medication and have lower blood pressure overall than their counterparts who don't have a vase of flowers or potted plants in their rooms.
We all know a fresh grouping of blooms has the power to cheer anyone up, sick or well. But given the fact that flowers oxygenate a room and lift the spirits, we here at Adrian Durban Florist think giving them to someone who is sick is a no-brainer. Positively Posh, according to IFD, includes arrangements that capture a youthful, whimsical spirit. These designs are lavish, with layers of delicate petals in a wash of pastel colors. As we anticipate Thanksgiving, we also look ahead to two of the biggest consumer-spending days of the year: Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Given the appealing sales and the amount of shopping we have to do for the holidays, it makes sense that we'd be shopping until we're dropping on those days. But we here at Adrian Durban Florist want to turn your attention to the next day on the list and the most important: Giving Tuesday. Read More about A Day for Giving »

No matter who spearheads the holiday decorating effort in your office, it probably involves pulling out the decor you have in storage somewhere from last year. Often, decking the workplace halls can be an occasion to relax with your colleagues, where you put on the Christmas music and break out the candy. Even the Scrooge-iest of coworkers has to admit - there's something really nice about seeing the office all dressed up for the holidays.
If you're anything like us at Adrian Durban Florist, you'll want to contribute some special flowers to the merry scene. Read More about Holiday Arrangements for a Festive Office »

You get to find that one showstopper piece to place on your table as you harvest up your home for your guests. And then eat. We have some ideas for the flowers (we'll leave the eating to you). Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year or have you been invited into someone else's home? If it's the latter, you're not alone. Last year, nearly 50 million people traveled at least 50 miles from home to enjoy Thanksgiving. That's a lot of hosting, and at Adrian Durban Florist, we think it should be rightfully acknowledged.
The tradition of bringing or sending a host or hostess gift is old and long, crossing cultures and involving its own customs. Here in the U.S., it's traditional to offer a bouquet of flowers in a vase. That way, the host or hostess has nothing to do but place your gift somewhere in the home and to enjoy it.
