4 Fun Grandparents Day Ideas

This month, we’re looking forward to celebrating National Grandparents Day on the first Sunday after Labor Day, and we hope you are too. The relationship between generations like children and grandparents is important to foster. So, the designers at Adrian Durban Florist have some suggestions for celebrating Grandparents Day in fun, memorable ways. To send beautiful blooms to grandparents in the Cincinnati area, talk to the professionals at Adrian Durban Florist. We deliver to residences, senior communities, nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the Cincinnati area. How can we help you make Grandparents Day spectacular this year?

Sending Gorgeous Blooms

Make sure grandparents know how loved and cherished they are when you send our Sunny Day Pitcher of Cheer. Full of bright, happy yellow roses, carnations, daisies and more, this fun yellow pitcher makes a great keepsake for Grandma’s famous lemonade!

Grandparents will love beautiful Violets in a Basket. Our natural wicker basket is filled with moss and tied with a gorgeous ribbon. Enjoy these long-lasting plants and keep the basket as a reminder of how much grandchildren love their grandparents.

For grandparents with a sweet tooth, send Adrian Durban Fresh Baked Cookies, made right here in our flower shop! Indulge their sweet side with these delicious homemade treats.

Scrapbooking

Add pages to a special scrapbook about grandparents. Kids can interview grandparents to learn more about them and add that info to the scrapbook, along with flowers to match the story. Did Grandpa bring a special bouquet to Grandma on their first date? Add photos, or better yet, pressed flowers, of that special variety for posterity.

Performing

Do the grandchildren have special talents like singing or dancing? Gather cousins together to sing a special song or perform a dance for grandparents.

Tea Party

Invite grandparents to a special Grandparents Day Tea and let the grandchildren set everything up. Include fancy china and specialty dress-up items like gloves, hats, and garden roses for a formal tea, or get silly like the Mad Hatter with whimsical costumes, elaborate cookies and bright flowers for centerpieces.

Spending time with grandparents and grandchildren on Grandparents Day is a surefire way to create beautiful memories together. If distance makes this difficult, have gorgeous, meaningful flowers, plants or gifts delivered anywhere in the Cincinnati area. Phone calls, FaceTime and hand-made cards are also great ways for children to honor grandparents and connect with them on this special day.
