Another colorful shopping option can be found at your local florist. Beth Durban of Adrian Durban Florists has plenty of green carnations in stock.
“We usually get a lot of traffic closer to the holiday,” Ms. Durban says. “People come in for everything from arrangements to boutonnieres.”
Favorites include carnation bouquets, shamrocks (also known as oxalis), heather and arrangements accented with the long-stalked verdant Bells of Ireland.
